Eating same breakfast everyday leads to boredom which eventually may result in skipping it. So, in order to enjoy the most important meal of the day here are few delicious recipes.
- Dates and Almond Milkshake
Mix quarter glass soaked dates, some powdered almonds and 1 glass milk in a blender. Add a banana or one table spoon of honey to make it sweet and delicious. This will be good enough to serve two person.
- Suji Yogurt Bhajji
Make a misture of suji and some yogurt Add all the seasonings/extra veggies you like (salt, green chillies, onions, tomatoes, green onions etc). Use minimum amount of oil. Sprinkle bits of honey, cheese or paneer and savour it like pakodas.
- Mix Thepla
Chop Cabbage, Carrot, Onions, spinach, Methi or Lauki. Add the toppings you want. Now mix whole wheat flour( little) and suji, yogurt and make a dough out of the mixture. Now prepare muthiya or thepla from the dough and have it with curd or milk. I sometimes combine grated cabbage, cheese and chillies. You can serve children with a layer of jam on top of it to make it taste even better.
- All time Favourite Omlet
Beat Egg with chopped onions, black pepper, salt, coriander leaves and then fry. You can eat it with a buttered toast. A combo of protein and calcium is good for recovering tired muscles which eventually improves overall metabolism.
- Mash boiled beans
Boil the beans which you love (rajma tastes good). Mix onions, carrot, finely chopped bell pepper, mushrooms and garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Add 2 spoons of wheat flour and make a good mixture out of it. Make wraps out of the mixture and fry them in minimum quantity of oil. You can eat it directly. Having it with yogurt gives a heavenly taste. You can use it in burger too.
- Baked Potato
Take a medium sized sweet potato and bake it little more than normal with three-fourth cup of roasted vegetables and have it with quarter cup of cottage cheese and half glass of skimmed milk.
Get a pancake made of wheat. Sprinkle a spoonful of sugar on finely cut strawberries, mango or papaya and add a touch of lemon juice in a small bowl. Heat it in oven for a couple of minutes. Fresh fruit syrup will be ready.!
- French Toast
Beat 2 eggs with 1 tablespoon sugar(or for more enjoyable taste , 1 banana), cinnamon, and a pinch of salt .Soak Bread pieces in the mixture and fry in oil till it turns brown.
It takes minutes to prepare! Mix some suji with yogurt together and water to make batter after 10 min add finely chopped garlic, onions, red chillies, black pepper, salt and mix it well. Spread the batter in plates and sprinkle some mustard seeds over it.
